one of my Dr. has dietary restrictions, halal only, and this place was perfect. I ordered 1/2 Gyro and 1/2 chicken bowls! my team enjoyed it and they loved the sauce and the food smelled and tasted well! I would definitely order from here again!

This might be one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I had to come back a few days later to make sure what I had wasn't a fluke and it was not! I had the combination plate I think it's called and it was absolutely amazing! And the great thing is that the portion size is so big that literally two people can eat off of it without a single problem! Staff was very friendly as well so excellent experience all around!

The food was pretty good. The chicken is well cooked and has some good spice and lots of seasoning. The sauces also mesh very well together with the spicy red and garlic white sauce. Lastly the pita bread was very soft and held my sandwich together very well. The service was good as I was greeted and served appropriately and very quickly. The vibe of the place was also very chill and calm and allowed me to enjoy my lunch. Will be coming again!

I would like to update my previous and harsh review. After giving The Gyro Shop a few more chances, their food quality has once again gone up. The service is still a bit wonky, from missing sauces to no A/C the last time I visited - I believe they still have a bit of work to do. I would also like to note that they still have the aluminum bowls in their store, and if you ask, they will make your bowl in those instead of the styrofoam containers I evidently despise. The prices are still drastically higher than previous, but I will say this is once again one of my go to spots - especially for some late night food. Something I would like to note is that while you may have to pay extra for certain ingredients on food delivery apps, I've noticed you don't have to if you build your bowl in store - which should be corrected on their apps.

Ending the year on a light note.....So, I decided to grab a gryo (chicken & lamb) with a ton of veggies and white sauce. Yelpers, when I tell y'all this gyro was hittin on all cylinders, babii YASSSS!!! The lamb and chicken were so flavorful and tender that the meat melted in your mouth with every bite. The veggies (cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions) added a clean and fresh aspect that complimented the meat. Plus the pita was so soft and fluffy...OH-MMMM-Geeee! I added feta cheese to try something new, I'm so glad I did. Talk about delish last time I had a gyro this mouth-watering was when I last visited home. (Illinois) Yelpers make your way out to Plano to try this awesome spot. Ronnie's pick
